Anticipating the spread of dengue fever (DB) transmission, PMI Pinang District together with the management of RW 01 Sudimara Pinang Village carried out environmental fogging, Saturday (23/2/2019).The implementation of the fogging was carried out after the residents did community service to clean the environment."Residents through Community Social Workers (PSM) asked for their area to be fogged to eradicate mosquito larvae," said Eko Wahyu Satrio, Chair of Rw 01.Actually, the residents there are also aware that fogging is not the best solution to eradicate the breeding of the Aedes Aegypty mosquito, which transmits the dengue virus and causes dengue fever.Fogging is done to eradicate the larvae and mosquito eggs.So the targeted locations for fogging are gardens and drainage.Meanwhile, from as many as 1,200 residents there, it is reported that 2 0 people have been infected with dengue fever.Meanwhile, Mumu Rohim, Head of PMI in Pinang District, said that the fogging was a form of PMI Pinang's support for public health."We use 4 fogging machines (Swingfog) so that all 11 RTs in the RW 01 area can be smoked," he said.He also emphasized that the Pinang District PMI is ready to carry out similar activities in other areas if there is a request from residents.
